2 Stepwells (baoli) are wells or ponds in which the water may be reached by descending a set of steps. They may be covered and protected and are often of architectural significance. Chand Baoli  situated inAbhaneri near Jaipur, Rajasthan consists of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. It extends approximately 30 m (100 ft) into the ground making it one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India. Stepwells ( Baoli ) sunt puțuri sau iazuri în care se poate ajunge la apă prin coborârea unui set de trepte. Ele pot fi acoperite și protejate și sunt adesea de o importanță arhitecturală. Chand Baoli situat în Abhaneri lângă Jaipur, Rajasthan este format din de trepte înguste de peste 13 etaje.
